Yes we have snow in the South Eastern parts of the country (Snowy Mountains). The ski season is short usually from June to the beginning of September. Although our snow country is large in size (bigger than Switzerland) it is poor quality with the highest mountain reaching only 2200 mtrs. Many Australians like to fly to New Zealand for their winter holidays. Winter there is more severe and more like Europe.
