For those to lazy to read the affidavits etc. the GGYC is protesting SNG because Alinghi is using American made sails, which violates the CIC (Constructed in Country) rule. SNG is arguing that the sails are "not a part of the boat" and do not need to be constructed in the syndicate's country.
But it looks like they are just appealing to the international jury not going to court. And if they Americans prevail I wonder if the Swiss will be able to get new sails made in the few days remaining before racing is supposed to start.
