Drift boat suggestions other than a Jon Boat or canoe?

I am looking for ideas on what you use to drift shallow rivers for 2 people to fish. I have used a canoe but not comfortable with the stability.
I have an old Lund that I have used but looking for something better. I have a buddy that uses a "Ducker" and works great but man those are expensive.
Looking to be able to anchor in How To Choose The Best Boat Seat For You spots safely. Looking for something 10-12ft to load in truck and to store in shed by myself. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
