Re-design a model

It is possible to download a model (ex: Optimist) and change the shape. Like put a Spinnaker.
How i do that if i have the GBX files?????

I don't have any first hand experience to answer your question. I've collected whatever "How to .." advice that I could from these forums and assembled that information at http://vsk.wikia.com/wiki/Boat_models however, it is still only a stub of an article. There seems to be much detail missing.

So my request of anyone having learned about the steps involved is to share that learning with others by expanding upon the wiki article referenced above.

I am pretty sure you can't, you need the original .3ds and boatparam.xml files to be able to change the model.
