Thanks a million Raskil. Can confirm that that ha successfully fixed the pointer misalignment and I can now play in windowed mode, with no blurriness, AND with the pointer aligned correctly. 100% back to operational goodness.

Thanks Alx. I hadn't played in full screen mode as I always play in windowed mode. I have the same symptoms you describe - the pointer works normally in full screen mode with the fix, but is not aligned correctly in windowed mode.

Hi, thanks for the excellent research and easy instructions to follow Raskil. I was experiencing the same symptoms as T.J.R. i.e. Blurred hulls, instrument buttons (and also blurred graphics on some hi-res spinnakers too). I applied the first (superseded) fix, then followed these instructions below....
